The development of this application arose from the need to have a useful, simple and pragmatic for the critical analysis of the scientific literature on health.
The Riddle name refers to the idea of a thorough assessment which, according to certain parameters, separates what is useful and what is not. It is intended, therefore, that this device can be used both in the teaching of evidence-based clinical practice, and practice work of health professionals, to assist decision making.
In the model of clinical practice based on evidence is there the need to formulate focused and objective clinical questions to answer existing questions in patient care. The questions may differ, depending on the issues to be explored, and involve intervention questions, diagnosis, prognosis, damage or risk factor. Therefore, to answer each question clinical there is a more appropriate study design methodology, which must be considered when searching the available evidence.
The application provides the specific items that must be observed in the main study designs to allow a thorough analysis of the confidence in the results. It also has a calculator so you can make the main calculations of the magnitude of the effect of treatment or diagnostic test, as well as associations between variables. Moreover, can still be found the links of the major electronic databases in the health area in the displayed perspective.
